Champions League winner open to Liverpool role

Ancelotti 4Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern may believe that Jurgen Klopp is already secured as their next manager but another reported candidate has spoken about the role.

Carlo Ancelotti, who lead Real Madrid to their tenth European crown in 2014, has stated that he wants to return to a job in football.

The Italian has been out of a job since Real replaced him with Rafael Benitez during the summer and Anfield could be his next destination- although he hinted that he’s likely to remain out of football until next summer.

“I enjoy my time now but of course I want to come back to manage – to work – because it is my passion. I want to take my time to rest, but next season I am ready.”

Should a deal for Klopp fall through, then Ancelotti is likely to be the bookies favourite to take over at Anfield and some of our regulars believe the ex-Chelsea boss should get the nod ahead of his German counterpart anyway.

Liverpool fans, do you agree with the fans at the bar? Who would you have out of Klopp and Ancelotti? Let us know below!
