Stoke City fans who were immersed in a game of snooker have been alerted to the news that Championship sides Wolves and Brighton are eyeing up a potential loan move for Charlie Adam.
The Daily Express claims that the midfielder would like to depart the Britannia Stadium in an attempt to receive more regular football.
The 30-year old joined from Liverpool back in 2012 and only signed a new deal at the club last summer, which sees him currently have 18 months remaining on his contract.
He was a mainstay in the first team early in the campaign, partnering Glenn Whelan in central midfield, and currently has 10 league starts.
However, the Scotland international has only managed the full 90 minutes in 5 Premier League games this term and the suggestion is that he is not going to be a major part of Mark Hughes’ impressive Stoke set-up.
With Adam’s age and playing time taken into consideration, our landlord believes that a step down to the Championship may be a suitable change for the midfielder, who has failed to manage a single goal or assist in the Premier League this season.
Stoke fans, would you like your side to keep hold of Adam? Let us know in the comments below!
