Championship leaders head race for West Brom striker

LambertThe Hull City fans are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern discussing reports linking them with a move for a Premier League striker.

The Birmingham Mail is reporting that the Championship leaders are heading the race to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Rickie Lambert.

Lambert only joined West Brom during the summer from Liverpook but has failed to make his mark at The Hawthorns and has found first team chances at the club limited.

Life with Albion started well, scoring twice in a pre-season friendly on his debut for the club, but further goals have been hard to come by and it appears that the Premier League side are willing to let the striker leave.

Lambert has seen himself drop behind Salomon Rondon, Saido Berahino and Victor Anichebe, so a change of scene could be just what the striker requires.

Those West Brom fans in The Tavern have been left disappointed by Lambert and are not overly fussed that he could be set to exit the club.

Hull fans, would Lambert boost your title chances? Let us know in the comments below!
