Championship side approach Arsenal to sign talented midfielder

Arsenal TrainingArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have spent so long discussing incoming rumours as they sip their pints that they forget that names could leave North London this term- including this talented midfielder.

The Express quotes Hull City boss Steve Bruce as confirming his intention to seal a permanent deal for Arsenal’s Isaac Hayden, who is currently spending the season on-loan with the Tigers.

20-year-old Hayden has spent most of his time in the North East out of the starting line-up but he scored his first senior goal at the weekend as Hull thrashed Charlton 6-0, moving within two points of Championship leaders Middlesbrough.

Bruce has been extremely impressed by Hayden this season and confirmed after the game he wants the youngster on a permanent basis.

“I’d make it permanent tomorrow if that was possible. I desperately want to hang on to him. In an ideal world he’d want to be playing every week but he’s started last weekend and again. He’s a very good young player, who’s progressing all the time.”

“He’s got his goal and he did very well. He’s energetic and full of beans and he’ll remember his first goal. I wanted to freshen us up in midfield and he was one who took his chance well. It was very good to see.”

Our Arsenal punters aren’t convinced their side will want to sell Hayden permanently, though they’re unconvinced he has a future in North London.
