Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the changes that will occur within their squad heading into January, as it becomes extremely likely a first-team member will be departing North London.
The Daily Star suggest David Ospina’s concerns about his chances in North London are leading him to eye a move away from the club, with Turkish outfit Besiktas currently regarded as the favourites to secure his signature in the New Year.
Colombian international Ospina was signed in the summer of 2014 to provide competition to Wojciech Szczesny and became the first-choice option at the club, until the rival of Petr Cech in the summer changed the perspective.
Ospina started the Gunners first two matches in the Champions League, both of which ended in defeat, but missed the crucial game against Bayern Munich through injury; which may see him out of action until mid-November.
That’s raised the question amongst the punters at the bar as to whether they’ll see the South American between the sticks again at the Emirates Stadium, or whether this is the beginning of the end for the highly-rated international.
Arsenal fans, is selling Ospina wise with Wojciech Szczesny on-loan at Roma? Let us know in the comments below!
