Changes could be imminent at Swansea City

monk3Swansea City fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that they could soon be looking for a new manager.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Swansea could be set to axe Garry Monk as the club’s manager and go for someone with more experience.

The 36-year-old is under increased pressure following the club’s poor start to the season which has seen a return of just two wins from their opening nine league games so far this season.

Swansea’s poor start to the season continued on Monday night when they tasted defeat for the third time this season against Stoke City.

Monk’s absence from training on Tuesday fuelled rumours that he was set to be axed by the club’s board, but the club issued a statement stating he missed training because of personal reasons.

The Swansea fans in The Transfer Tavern are dismayed at the speculation regarding Monk’s future, and feel that although they have started poorly that the young manager should be given more time.

Swansea fans do you think the club would be wrong to sack Garry Monk at this stage of the season? Let us know in the comments below!
