Crystal Palace will meet West Ham United at Selhurst Park on Saturday in the Premier League, however, they could be without one of their main men.
According to a report by football.london, Cheikhou Kouyate has been made a doubt for the fixture against his former club.
It is important to note that the player has not been officially ruled out by The Eagles, although there will be some concerns.
The midfielder has been struggling with an ankle injury he picked up against Southampton and subsequently missed their win over Fulham last weekend.
The Senegal international has been a key figure for Roy Hodgson’s side this season following his arrival from The Hammers, having made 25 appearances across all competitions for the south London outfit.
Kouyate’s potential absence will come as a blow to Crystal Palace and Hodgson as they look to build on their recent form.
The 29-year-old has been important to the Selhurst Park’s performances this season and following West Ham’s recent draw against Liverpool, his contribution may have been even more valuable than recently.
The Eagles have not tasted defeat in their last two Premier League games as they look to build a gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
