The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with Cesc Fabregas this season…
The Spaniard has been in fine form this year, but his issue has been that due to the fine form of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic, his game time has been severely reduced.
This, he says, according to the Times, has been ‘not easy’, though it appears as though he has retained confidence throughout the season. Significantly, though, the Times notes that whilst the Spaniard is happy, he is also looking to clarify his future this summer – with the player seemingly keen to see what the future holds for him at Stamford Bridge.
Of course, unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern would love him to stay. Despite his reduced game time, he has often come in and changed games completely – as displayed against Middlesbrough last night. In truth, the game would have been far more difficult had he not played, and that highlights just how important he is to Conte’s cause.
That being said, if he isn’t going to be playing regularly, our landlord can see the Spaniard leaving this summer. He is, after all, 30-years-old, and whilst he has a lot left in the tank, he is at an age where playing time is paramount.
