Chelsea fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mirror claim that the club could well be set to loan out one of their forwards again.
Romelu Lukaku has been on loan at West Bromwich Albion for the season and has been mightily impressive at The Hawthorns. The player is determined to partake in first team football next term and is aware that this may not happen at Stamford Bridge. Now it seems that a host of clubs are after the powerful Belgian international and Swansea City could well be leading the pack.
A return to West Brom might well be something that Steve Clarke fancies yet the forward himself is keen to play European football and given West Brom’s slide down the table during the second half of the season this will not be happening with them. It is this that Michael Laudrup feels gives his team the edge in the race to land the forward.
The Swansea manager wants another forward in his ranks in order to alleviate the pressure on star man Michu to score, and despite the Spaniard netting 17 goals this season, Swansea’s next highest goal scorer, Jonathan De Guzman only has a total of five.
Will Lukaku make another loan spell to Swansea next season? Rate this rumour below.
