It’s not been a great season for Chelsea but Cesc Fabregas isn’t shying away from giving credit where it’s due, as he had kind words to say about rival players from Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
The World Cup winner was speaking to Youtube star Spencer Owen as part of the build-up for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team’s Team of the Season and the video also features Spurs ace Dele Alli talking to comedian Lloyd Griffith.
Fabregas was asked specifically about the midfielders who have impressed him in the Premier League this season, where team-mate Willian received some kind words and Leicester’s midfield received high praise.
“He’s had a very good year especially when the team was not really performing at the right level, and he was very consistent.”
“I think obviously the Leicester midfield have have played really really well this year and new players like Dele Alli as well.”
Fabregas also stated he’d like David De Gea in the net for his dream team, whilst admitting Jamie Vardy has to be selected.
“In my team, probably De Gea. He saves Man United so many points at the end of the season. Vardy? Yeah, for me he has to be there.”
Meanwhile, Spurs and England star Dele Alli was very modest about his season, suggesting he wouldn’t pick himself in the Team of the Season!
“I’m a bit modest, so probably not, but it has been a good year!”
