And according to the Daily Express, he is planning to do it by offloading Emmanuel Adebayor and replacing him with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
Reports claim the Argentine manager is keen to wipe Adebayor’s extortionate wages off the books, building his squad around Belgian striker Lukaku in the process.
Lukaku is thought to want a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge this summer having spent the past few seasons out on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Everton.
However Spurs will need Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to seriously fund any move after Chelsea requested a seemingly extortionate£32 million for their man.
But Pochettino has first-hand experience of Lukaku’s ability having seen him score in a defeat to Everton last season and our regulars believe that there’s a strong chance he’ll be playing at White Hart Lane next season.
