The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving life under Antonio Conte…
The Italian has spearheaded a revolution at Stamford Bridge, and it would appear as though the fans aren’t the only people that are enjoying Conte’s reign as Chelsea boss.
Kurt Zouma has only just returned from a long-term injury layoff, suffered last season, but in an interview with the Mirror, the Frenchman has revealed that he is delighted at how Conte has managed him so far.
Zouma said: “He’d [Conte] just watched me in the odd game on TV, but just one or two times maybe. Then he said he trusted me. Those words made a difference.
He continued: “He’s a really nice guy. He thinks, eats and sleeps football. He talks football, everything is football with him. He’s so passionate and he wants to give that to the players”.
Zouma also touched on the personal influence that Conte has had: “You learn a lot with him, a lot. The Italian style is very good for defenders”.
