Chelsea ‘agree deal’ to sell quality fan favourite

HazardChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are uttering curse words under their breath, after hearing that a deal for a prized asset has already been agreed.

The Daily Express cites reports that indicate Chelsea have approved the sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer, with last year’s PFA Player of the Year on his way out.

Hazard has been linked with an exit throughout Chelsea’s lacklustre season and Real Madrid have always been favourites to land the Belgian international, despite the emergence of Real Madrid as rivals in the transfer market.

Real Madrid are themselves enduring a disappointing season and they’re set for a major overhaul this summer, with the purchase of £78m-rated Hazard possibly leading the way for Isco and James Rodriguez to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

With just two goals for Chelsea this season, Hazard’s form has been a far-cry from the displays he put in last season which earned him comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo and saw the Blues march to Premier League glory.

Despite the poor form, Hazard is still rated very highly and our landlord believes cashing-in is the only option as the international ace clearly wants out.

Chelsea fans, is £78m a fair price for Hazard? Let us know in the comments below!
