Chelsea and Everton fans have had many a debate in the Football Transfer Tavern in recent weeks with both sides battling over a number of players this summer, well now there is another to add to a list.
According to reports from The Daily Mail, Chelsea have shown an interest in Sunderland defender Lamine Kone, as an alternative to Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
Having sold John Stones to Man City Ronald Koeman and Everton have also been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international.
Antonio Conte has had multiple approaches for his top defensive target, Koulibaly, snubbed as the Italian outfit desperately look to hold onto their man.
The 27-year-old Sunderland defender only arrived at the Stadium of Light in January this year from Ligue 1 side, Lorient, for a fee of £6m.
Everton and Chelsea fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of this deal? Which side will beat the other to signing Kone? Let us know in the comments below…
