The Chelsea and Liverpool supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are regularly given out banter to each other after some epic battles over the years.
It might be the case that both clubs are set to lose at least a player a piece in the summer too, with the landlord spotting an article in today’s edition of Buzzsport (via The Metro) that suggest French giants Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring midfielders Jordan Henderson and Nemanja Matic, ahead of summer moves.
Henderson has missed a large chunk of this season with injury whilst Matic has, at times, found himself out of the first-team fold at Stamford Bridge this season.
One Liverpool fan is playing pool in the Tavern and thinks this is some sort of joke, stating that the ex-Sunderland midfielder Henderson has never been a good enough player to play for such a stellar club as PSG.
A Chelsea resident to the Tavern is puffing away on his e-cigarette and wouldn’t be too concerned if Matic left Stamford Bridge, stating that there are better options out there for the club to pursue if they can offload the unhappy player!
