Chelsea & Manchester United have fought over a lot of things in recent years, including the fans battling for the best pool table here at the Transfer Tavern, and it looks like those battles will continue in the coming months.
The Daily Star declares the battle-horns have been blown as the two Premier League giants fight for the signature of Feyenoord youngster Tahith Chong, who is free to leave the Dutch side in December.
United, led by Chong’s compatriot Louis Van Gaal, are said to have made the first-approaches to the 15-year-old ahead of his winter availability, where he will be open to a move after turning 16.
However, Chelsea’s emergence in the market will cause waves and a lot of annoyance- with the Blues stance on young talent widely scrutinised, as they currently have over 30 players on-loan.
Accusations of Chelsea hoarding young talent are sure to continue and we could be set for a bumpy ride, as the two clubs fight for the young prodigy.
