West Ham United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern are confused by their side’s start to the season.
Some of the defending during Saturday’s 4-3 home defeat to Bournemouth left fans spitting out their pints in shock, yet new boss Slaven Bilic will not be entering the transfer market to add defensive reinforcements.
Instead the Hammers boss is keen to add a new attacking threat to his new look squad, with Chelsea’s Victor Moses, Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon, and Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj all targets, according to the Evening Standard.
The Hammers started Saturday’s game with no natural wide man, and switched formations in the second half to push natural central midfielder Kouyate out wide right.
Bilic is set to bid around £6million for Moses, with the Nigerian international surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge having spent the last two seasons away on loan.
Alternatively, the club are also considering loan moves for both former England international Lennon and 20-year-old Belgium international Januzaj.
