Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all on red alert after Zakaria Bakkali turned down a new contract offer from PSV Eindhoven, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 18-year-old winger is currently one of European football’s top youngsters and has been impressive in the Eredivisie since his breakthrough last term despite his youthful age.
But Bakkali has been out of PSV XI of late amid a contract dispute, with the Dutch giants keen to tie him down to a long-term deal.
The teenager is thought to be ready to test himself in one of the continent’s bigger leagues, and is not ready to commit to the Eindhoven club.
This has alerted Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, who are all considering cut-price moves in the New Year.
Bakkali’s current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning that PSV can only realistically demand a nominal fee for the wide man.
Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the starlet, who is already a full Belgium international.
Bakkali grabbed headlines last year when, at the age of 17, he became the Eredivisie’s youngest ever hat-trick scorer with a three-goal haul against NEC Nijmegan.
