Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are gathering anxiously, as they wait for the pendulum to swing on their underperforming manager Jose Mourinho- and potential replacements are the talk of the bar tonight.
Those conversations were spark by reports from The Sun, who state that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has asked Pep Guardiola to name his price.
Guardiola is expected to be available next summer after reports suggested he will announce that he won’t extend his deal with Bayern Munich, with that statement believed to be on the way next week.
The developments have put the elite sides in the Premier League on high-alert, with Manchester City and Manchester United both rivalling Chelsea for the signature of the highly-rated Catalan boss.
Abramovich is a huge fan of Guardiola and believes the Spaniard can fulfil his dream of having a ‘Barcelona in Blue shirts’ at the West London side.
Chelsea have approached Guardiola before though with no prevail and Abramovich will be gutted if he misses out on the highly-rated manager once again.
Which Premier League side will Guardiola manage? Let us know in the comments below!
