The Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are starting to get impatient over the lack of business carried out in west London so far this summer.
Whilst the Premier League champions are yet to announce any deals, there are reports that there could be a departure on the way this summer.
According to reports from the Daily Star, the Blues are at the centre of a three-way battle between Premier League rivals over a deal for promising striker Tammy Abraham.
The tabloid claim that, along with Swansea City, newly promoted Brighton and Newcastle are looking into a loan move for the 19-year-old.
The Swans will be hoping that the connections between manager Paul Clement and the west London club will give them the edge over any other suitors.
The youngster, who is currently away with the England U21s on international duty for the European Championships in Poland, enjoyed an outstanding season on-loan with Championship side Bristol City last season and the consensus here in the bar is that he’s ready to make the step up to the Premier League, just not in Antonio Conte’s side yet.
Chelsea fans, we want to hear from you! Where do you think would be best for Abraham? Should he be given a chance at Stamford Bridge? Let us know…
