Chelsea’s forgotten man Michy Batshuayi could see a move to Roma materialise before the European transfer window slams shut.
However, a move for the Belgian is reliant on Roma sorting out the future of current striker Patrick Schick, with publication Calciomercato claiming that the Italian giants will only move for the Chelsea man if Schick leaves.
Schick has been attracting interest from Dortmund according to the same report, and Roma have identified Batshuayi as the ideal replacement if he does indeed move on.
The Chelsea man has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the Chelsea squad and has consequently had loan spells with the likes of Dortmund and Crystal Palace.
Potential is there with Batshuayi and he did at times demonstrate his excellent finishing last term, as he knocked in five goals in just 11 Premier League appearances to show that does indeed know where the back of the net is.
However, his shooting accuracy can at times leave a lot to be desired, with the Belgian only hitting the target with ten of his 27 attempts on goal last term (via official Premier League website).
Batshuayi needs to get away from Chelsea and quickly before his career really hits the brakes.
He’s too good a player to be simply sat not doing anything and he showed at Dortmund before that he can do the business when called upon. There, he scored seven goals in just 10 Bundesliga appearances.
Chelsea aren’t using him, so it would be little surprise to see him on the move again unless something changes quickly.
