Chelsea boss’ comments pushing Blues star to the exit door?

awfulOur punters are not shocked at all here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the latest claim from Metro.

The publication have claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has made it very clear what he thinks about his forwards, and after the simply awful game against Paris Saint-Germain, Fernando Torres was certainly the one who got caught in the crossfire.

The ex-Liverpool forward has never impressed at Stamford Bridge, and Mourinho has just joined a very long list of managers who have suffered at the Spaniard’s inability to put the ball into the back for the net on a consistent basis.

It seems a certainty that Chelsea will bring in at least one world class forward this summer, and Mourinho has made it very clear that Torres is not someone he has faith in anymore.

The Special One claimed: “Football is also about scoring goals, getting behind, and that is for strikers. Real strikers. And I had to try.

“It’s difficult for us to score goals, especially when the games are tight. It’s difficult for us to transform the half-chances into chances.”

After starting Andre Schurrle – naturally a winger – our punters think that it speaks volumes about the selections on offer at the club, and Torres certainly does not count as a ‘real forward’.

Will Chelsea eventually bring in a ‘real’ forward this summer who can put the ball into the back of the net? Let us know your thoughts below.
