Chelsea boss confirms star man is going nowhere

Eden HazardMetro have a rather reassuring claim for Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

They note that the club may well be saying goodbye to one of their players, but star man Eden Hazard will be remaining exactly where he is.

As our landlord points out to the punters who do not visit the tavern on a daily basis, it was only yesterday we were discussing the fact that Kevin De Bruyne was closing in on a move to Wolfsburg.

Chelsea are reluctantly allowing the player to leave and further his career by getting time on the field.

One player who will be staying at Stamford Bridge however is Eden Hazard, who has been hailed on more than one occasion by Jose Mourinho this season. He, as our punters note over a beer and burger combo, has also been criticised but the astonishing potential is there.

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on Hazard, and it had even been claimed that the player himself was considering a move.

Mourinho dispelled these rumours and noted: “I’m not worried because if his value was around £40 million when Chelsea bought him, two years later his value is two or three times that amount.

“So with our tag not to sell and with the crazy amount we would value him at, Eden is not leaving.”

Is Hazard quite simply Chelsea’s best player? Let us know your thoughts below.
