Jose Mourinho has Chelsea fans looking even more gutted than they already are here in the Football Transfer Tavern and it is all down to BBC Sport.
The publication carries quotes from the Chelsea boss who seems to have no problem stating that Frank Lampard’s time at Chelsea is over and the ‘love story’ between the Blues and their all-time top goalscorer is over – especially given he now plays for Manchester City.
According to one of our punters, the goal scored by Lampard to hand City a draw in the crunch game should have done that by itself, but Chelsea fans still felt the need to sing for ‘Super Frank’ at the full-time whistle – and Mourinho was not too impressed with that or the subsequent media intrigue.
He claimed: “When he decided to go to a direct competitor then love stories are over.
Mourinho carried on with his rant and added: “I don’t believe in stories of passion and heart, maybe I am too pragmatic in football. He did his job as a professional.”
This comes only days after Chelsea fans were taunting Arsenal over the goal celebration from Cesc Fabregas – and we think it is just deserts for them!
