Chelsea boss plotting summer transfer reunion?

rafa varaneChelsea boss Jose Mourinho is set to be the Busy One this summer if we believe the latest claim from Marca here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

The publication have claimed that the former Real Madrid boss is eyeing up a move for Raphael Varane who of course was one of the stars during his spell at the club.

Since the departure of Mourinho coupled with an unfortunate long-term injury, Varane has lost his first team place at the club and has fallen down the pecking order behind Pepe and Sergio Ramos.

The French international would consider a move to Chelsea under the manager who trusted him the most but we think that Real Madrid would take some serious convincing to let one of the best young stars in the game leave.

Mourinho meanwhile is keen to strengthen his Blues squad and knows that his captain John Terry cannot play on forever or at the rate he is currently doing.

Varane is seen as the ideal player to bring into the club and bed into life in England, meaning a Chelsea bid could well be imminent despite the Blues landing Saint-Etienne’s Kurt Zouma in January.

Do you think Varane would follow Mourinho to Chelsea in order to get more first team football? Let us know your thoughts below.
