This is because the Daily Telegraph are reporting that Jose Mourinho has not spoken to Petr Cech about his demotion – and he is not planning on furthering the conversation.
Mourinho was asked if he had taken Cech to one side and spoken to him about installing Thibaut Courtois as the number one keeper at Stamford Bridge and claimed: “I don’t make exceptions, no.
“I didn’t with Frank Lampard. I didn’t with anyone, with Drogba before the last game. I don’t speak with players about that. I never did. Is Petr totally happy? I don’t believe. But it’s not just him. It’s everyone who didn’t start the [Burnley] game.”
As one of our punters notes, Cech’s future at the Blues seems to be ebbing away with the long serving goalkeeper unwilling to sit on the bench.
That is something Mourinho willingly accepts and we are sure that if Cech does declare his intentions to leave, there certainly will not be a shortage of clubs after his signature!
