Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were infuriated this weekend after a shock defeat to Bournemouth saw the Blues sit just two points above the relegation zone and it seems the club’s chairman shares their anger.
Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge this weekend was their eighth of the Premier League campaign, leaving them with an unacceptable total of just 15 points from the opening 15 games of the season.
Furthermore, the Blues could mathematically find themselves in the relegation zone before they face Leicester City next Monday and although that is unlikely, the form of the Premier League leaders suggests another defeat is on the cards.
The next two games are crucial for Chelsea, and Mourinho, as the battle Porto for top-spot in the Champions League group and then face the daunting task of visiting Leicester- who have lost just once in the Premier League all season.
With defeats in both games likely to lead to changes in West London, reports state the pendulum could swing before then and Mourinho could be axed, whether or not they are victorious against Porto.
Our fans are delighted to hear this news and believe Roman Abramovich made an error previously, as they feel the season could have been turned around if they’d relieve the uninspiring Mourinho of his duties earlier this campaign.
