Chelsea boss still tempted to hijack Arsenal’s transfer attempts?

khedira.jpgChelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have learnt by now not to take a word Jose Mourinho says as black and white.

These claims are clearly justified as The Express are claiming the Chelsea boss could yet move for Sami Khedira despite previously claiming all Chelsea’s transfer business was complete.

Mourinho is a big fan of the German international having managed him previously whilst at Real Madrid. London rivals Arsenal are also still extremely keen on landing the former Stuttgart player.

Khedira’s place in Los Blancos’ midfield is under threat following the summer arrivals of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez and Mourinho admits that his summer dealings could not be finished after all.

He said: “The market is open, and experience has told us all that we can never say what is going to happen.

“A player may have a different reaction or opinion of what happens in the first month.”

Petr Cech has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge following the return of Thibaut Courtois from a three-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Cech has been mentioned as a possible target for Real Madrid and it remains to be seen whether Mourinho may look to use the keeper as bait in attempt to land Khedira before the close of the window.

Chelsea fans. Do you really need Sami Khedira having spent more than £60 million on Fabgregas and Matic in the last six months? Let us know your thoughts below.
