Chelsea boss TEXTED Allardyce before Manchester United draw

Jose MourinhoChelsea fans have a smirk on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro claimed that Sam Allardyce admitted Jose Mourinho sent him a text to say thanks for beating Manchester City in Saturday’s early kick-off.

City of course fell to a surprise 2-1 defeat at Upton Park and the Hammers showed just how well they spent in the summer and just how wise it was to stick with Big Sam.

Before Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, the Hammers manager spoke about his conversation with Mourinho and claimed: “Jose has just texted me to say  “Well done big man”.

“This shows how important it was for him, never mind for us.

“He goes to Manchester United knowing his team will go and perform at their best and if they win it makes the gap even bigger.”

West Ham are of course flying high themselves and the majority of our punters actually think it would be a bigger achievement for the Hammers to finish in the top four than it would be for Mourinho and his men to lift the Premier League title.
