Chelsea boss threatens to axe key players

mourinhoChelsea have endured a difficult spell so far this season, leaving fans in the Transfer Tavern drowning their sorrows, and Jose Mourinho is ready to wield the axe.

The Blues boss is under immense scrutiny after Chelsea’s Premier League title defence began with just eight points from the opening seven games, leaving the defending champions languishing in the bottom half of the table and eight points behind current leaders Manchester United.

Mourinho, quoted by The Daily Express, says winning the league and European honours is not yet out of the question- but threatened to introduce the kids if the senior contingent fails to improve.

The Portuguese boss has already shown he is not a force to be reckoned with by dropping captain John Terry for Kurt Zouma, whilst Rubens Loftus-Cheek has also enjoyed first-team ventures this season.

However, with over 30 players on-loan away from Stamford Bridge this season we’re not entirely certain that any youngsters actually remain in West London.
