Chelsea Captain John Terry’s charm offensive was never going to be straightforward. But then I guess moral punchbag’s don’t generally tend to have an easy time of it.
The Chelsea hero’s fall from grace has in been on going for some time. Wizzing in pint pots, parking in disabled spaces, having your relatives revealed as shop lifters and drug dealers can do that to man.
But the Chelsea stalwart has not only lost his armband, snubbed on live telly but last night was told by Carlos Tevez he was effectively a dead man walking.
“If you acted like this in Argentina, you’d be dead.” said the Citeh striker. Quite a bizarre comment all in all. Bridge and Perconell weren’t married when the affair took place and surely it would be for more in keeping with tradditional latin characatures for the aggrieved man to kill the woman?
Back in the real world, Terry aquited himself well last night, Upson calling his performance ‘solid’. Hopefully people can begin to focus on football again, sometime soon.
|In 2009, Terry was named “Dad of the Year” after he came top of a poll of UK adults in a Daddies Sauce survey” in The Independent….. odds on for not winning it again just ahead of Fritzl and McCann|
