Chelsea concerned highly-rated talent will leave as contract talks stall

Dominic SolankeChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are uttering curse word that comes into their head, after it emerged that a highly-rated asset could leave Stamford Bridge.

The Mail claims Dominic Solanke has stalled on new contract talks with the Stamford Bridge side as he enters the final year of his current deal.

18-year-old Solanke, who has enjoyed a successful time on-loan at Vitesse Arnheim, is concerned about his lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge and his family share his views, despite the fact that he’s been at the club since he was seven.

Long identified as being a potential first-team star, Solanke has featured just once for the first-team, which came in the Champions League against Maribor last term, but the fears of the teenager are well placed given Chelsea’s controversial stance concerning young talent.

Chelsea are preparing for the possible departure of the striker by making a move for Fulham’s Moussa Dembele, who’s available on a free transfer this summer.

However, our landlord feels they should show some faith to their youth players as otherwise they’ll end up missing out further down the line.
