Chelsea could sell 24-year-old on one condition

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving life under Antonio Conte, but they are concerned that the Italian is set to face his toughest test yet…

On the field, the Blues have been flying, and their fine form is showing no signs of slowing down. Off the field, though, Antonio Conte could be about to come head on with a pretty significant issue.

Over the last few days, reports have emerged linking Thibaut Courtois with a move to Real Madrid – with the Belgian reportedly set on a move to the Spanish capital.  This generated a fair bit of nervousness in the Transfer Tavern, with a few of the Chelsea fans fearful of how Antonio Conte might look to replace the Belgian.

It would appear as though the Blues in the Transfer Tavern can breathe a sigh of relief, though, as Antonio Conte is reportedly a man with a plan.

According to the Sun, Antonio Conte will sanction a deal for Thibaut Courtois on one condition – he will demand Alvaro Morata in return.

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been long-term admirers of the Spanish forward, and amidst the speculation linking the likes of Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi with a move away – a move would make sense.

Morata hasn’t really set the world alight in La Liga as he did in Turin with Juventus. He has scored just 5 La Liga goals so far this season, whilst he bagged 7 goals and 7 assists whilst in Serie A last year.

For Antonio Conte, the deal might make sense – but the Chelsea fans in the Tavern are not very happy about this. Considering that Diego Costa has scored 15 goals this season, they don’t think that Morata is anything like as good as his Spanish compatriot.
