Chelsea defeat forces Conte re-think, highly-rated duo are on his radar as summer plans take shape

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t too worried about losing the Premier League title…yet…

The Blues suffered a disappointing defeat over the weekend against Crystal Palace, though Conte’s side is still comfortably ahead of Tottenham in the race for the title.

However, it seems as though Chelsea’s manager is looking to quickly act on the poor performance, and it seems as though it has forced him into a rethink when it comes to his potential summer plans.

According to the Mirror, Chelsea have ramped up their right-back plans this summer following the defeat, with the talented duo of Jeremy Toljan and Andrea Conti reportedly being courted by the Blues.

Both talented players, the duo are young and have huge potential – so it is easy to see why Antonio Conte is attracted to the pair.

Certainly, Victor Moses has impressed this season – but his absence over the weekend proved just how thin Chelsea are in that role. In truth, it has been a miracle that the Nigerian has performed so well and remained fit for much of the season.

Next up for Chelsea is a game against Man City, with many in the Transfer Tavern touting it as a must win game. It remains to be seen whether Victor Moses will be fit for the clash.
