Chelsea demand a hefty fee for star man amid Real Madrid interest

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are still in a buoyant mood after they were handed a major boost in the title race.

West Ham United pulled off an unexpected 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur to give Chelsea the chance to win the league before Spurs kick another ball.

All they need to do is beat Middlesbrough and West Brom and the Premier League title could be won by next Friday.

This is testament to their fantastic squad and the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have already stressed how important it is that they keep their star players at the club next season.

Eden Hazard is one player that has been linked with a move away; Real Madrid are very keen on the midfield magician.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is apparently desperate to land the Belgium international but president Florentino Perez is refusing to cough up the £70m that Chelsea are demanding for their prize asset.

This is according to a report by Spanish media outlet Diario Gol via The Sun.

Perez is reportedly unwilling to pay £70m as he feels that Marco Asensio can fill Hazard’s role at Real Madrid instead.

The 26-year-old could therefore be a Chelsea player next season.
