Chelsea will be desperate to return to winning ways after suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth last night.
The Blues will have their sights on securing a top four spot in the current campaign, but they can’t afford many more slip-ups if they are to do so as they now find themselves in fifth position.
Interestingly, it appears as if Maurizio Sarri is looking to pull off a deadline day move, as according to The Mirror, Chelsea have Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure in their sights.
Chelsea have Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure in their sights for a shock Deadline Day switch.
Indeed, it’s thought that Chelsea are big fans of the 26-year-old with Sarri still yet to replace Cesc Fabregas.
Of course, the Blues could do with bringing in a dominant figure like Doucoure to operate in the middle of midfield, as Mateo Kovacic hasn’t really been cutting it in recent times.
Abdoulaye Doucoure, who is valued at £22.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has managed to produce three goals and five assists in the current campaign.
It’s clear to see that Chelsea could do with his defensive qualities and dominance in midfield after their heavy defeat against Bournemouth last night, so Sarri must do everything to pull off a Deadline Day move for the Frenchman.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
