Chelsea are rumoured to be interested in AC Milan star Gennaro Gattuso. The midfielder, now 31, worked with current Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti during his spell at the San Siro and the Italian manager is known to be a fan of the World Cup winner. Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is also believed to be monitoring the player regarding a possible move to Eastlands.
Gattuso has not been involved in Leonardo’s plans and is expected to be made available when the transfer window opens, yet AC Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has denied interest from both Hughes and Ancelotti.
Galliani stated “I am not aware that Manchester City are interested in him. I have also spoken to Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti and Rino Gattuso is not in his plans.” (4thegame.com)
