Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping for a number of positive changes in the summer transfer window, as the Blues are set to miss out on a Champions League spot once again.

Sadly, the Blues appear to be taking a step backwards under manager Antonio Conte as the club may look to appoint a new manager in the summer, with many of our local residents wanting to see success and silverware next season. Although, Chelsea already appear to be looking to the summer transfer window, as according to Tuttosport, Chelsea have emerged as serious contenders for Juventus wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah's signature.

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Juventus contract rebel Kwadwo Asamoah.

Encouragingly, it looks as if the Blues will be able to save themselves some money in the summer transfer window, as the Ghanaian is available on a free transfer after snubbing a new deal.

However, Inter Milan were believed to be leading the race prior to Chelsea joining the party, as the Blues could face stiff competition from the Italian giants in the near future.

Landlord's Verdict:

Chelsea supporters will be delighted that their side are serious contenders for the Ghanaian's signature at the end of the season, as he's been very impressive for Juventus in the current campaign. And, with Marcos Alonso struggling for competition at left-back in Chelsea's current squad, the 29-year-old will be sure to give the Spaniard a run for his money.
