GetWestLondon suggest that Radamel Falcao will see his loan spell terminated in January and Chelsea will look to replace him with Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, in what could be an expensive transfer swoop.
Falcao has struggled during his time in the Premier League, scoring just four goals in his year with Manchester United and failing to redeem himself after signing for Chelsea on-loan over the summer; finding the net just once for the Blues.
The former Atletico Madrid and Porto star is still rated by many in Europe though, which suggests he will get a chance elsewhere, but Chelsea’s alleged move for PSG ace Cavani comes as a surprise.
Cavani plays second-fiddle in the French capital to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is unlikely to agree to a similar move, as in West London he’s likely to find himself behind Diego Costa in the pecking order.
Fans at the bar are unconvinced as to whether a big-money move for Cavani would even be beneficial and believe a younger striker should be targeted.
