Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is currently flourishing at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues attacker spent last season on loan with Aston Villa in the Championship, and impressed by scoring 25 league goals in the second tier as the Villans earned promotion to the top flight.
He has since returned to his parent club and become the main striker under new manager Frank Lampard, who is currently getting the best out of the club’s younger players this term.
Having risen through the Blues’ academy system, Abraham’s opportunities in the first team were extremely limited prior to this season.
However, with few other attacking options available at the Bridge, the 22-year-old has been handed much more responsibility and is grasping his opportunity with both hands – finding the net eight times in the league already this season; more than any other player in the division (bar Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, who also has eight to his name).
Now, due to his scintillating form, there are talks that Abraham will be offered a contract extension by the club, which has delighted these Blues fans on Twitter…
