Chelsea fans are disappointed with the lack of playing time Ethan Ampadu is currently experiencing with RB Leipzig.
Can Frank Lampard steer Chelsea to a top-four finish?
The 19-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with the Bundesliga outfit but is yet to feature for the club, remaining an unused substitute in the club’s previous five league games.
The midfielder was left out of Leipzig’s squad altogether for both of their opening Champions League fixtures against Benfica and Lyon, making his temporary move away from west London seem, at this moment in time, a complete waste of time.
The whole point in the Wales international moving to Leipzig was so that he could benefit from regular playing time in one of Europe’s strongest leagues, though at the moment his constant lack of involvement is only harming his career and not benefitting it.
Chelsea fans have been left slightly confused at Ampadu’s non-involvement in Germany, taking to Twitter to voice their opinions on the youngster’s current situation:
He should’ve gone on loan to a Championship club and get 40 games under his belt just like Tomori, Mount and Abraham

It was always a curious loan move. When Adams gets back he won’t even make the bench. I’d like to see him on loan in the championship. Take the same route as Mason and Tammy.

Personally I’d bring him back and play him in cup games until January then try find a better loan for him.

He’s the same level as Declan Rice I would say, just needs a decent team where he can be a starter

Agreed. Needs a lot of minutes bc he has a big future. Doubters, don’t kid yourselves. The kid will make it at Chelsea.
