Chelsea fans on Twitter aren’t holding back on calls for Sarri’s head

Maurizio Sarri has had a rough ride this season. The Italian obviously didn’t expect the Premier League to be as tough as it is, and he fell to his 8th defeat in the English top flight yesterday against Liverpool at Anfield. It wasn’t a game they expected to win, but defeat was still tough to take and the fans were calling for Sarri’s sacking.

Maurizio Sarri is a great manager, and that much can’t be disputed. However, so far he’s looked out of his depth and poor at Stamford Bridge, although ironically it’s away from home where the Italian has struggled. The Blues were all in good voice yesterday at Anfield, but with the Chelsea fans, it can quickly turn sour when things are going wrong, as Sarri usually ends up fronting the blame.

Sarri will likely not last much longer at the club and some supporters will be shocked if he manages to survive past the summer. It’s a harsh reality of management, but with the Blues still pushing for a place in the top four and looking likely to fall short, it’s easy to understand the calls for the ex-Napoli man to be cut from his role, especially considering some of his shocking transfer business too.

You can read the Blues’ calls for Sarri’s head here:

The Blues cannot understand how Sarri still has a job and will be desperate for the Italian to be cut sooner or later, especially if the top four eludes them.
