Chelsea fans on Twitter were gutted last night at what could be Fabregas’ last game

Chelsea fans have a lot of love for Cesc Fabregas. The Spaniard was signed by Jose Mourinho in summer 2014 and made an instant impact as he registered an incredible 19 assists as the Blues won the Premier League. Since then, though, the Spaniard has seen his game time decrease and now he looks on the verge of a Stamford Bridge exit.

Whilst the chances are Fabregas will be allowed to leave this January, he could well make one more appearance against Nottingham Forest this Saturday in the FA Cup 3rd round seeing as Maurizio Sarri will be keen to rotate for the cup competition. If he does feature it will be just his 16th appearance of the season, with only six of those being in the Premier League and six coming from the bench.
Fabregas was denied the perfect farewell to his Chelsea career in the Premier League by the offside flag. The Spaniard did what he has always done, and played an inch-perfect ball through to Alvaro Morata, however, the out-of-form striker’s finish was chalked off as the linesman’s flag was raised. Whilst it makes no surprise that Fabregas could be on his way, it’s something that the Blues are gutted with and they’ll be hoping the Spaniard can go out with a bang against Forest.

The Blues would love to see Fabregas stay a little bit longer, but unfortunately, this looks like one that is already over as the Spaniard edges nearer to an exit.
