It’s gotten to the point with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea where the fans have been questioning whether the Italian has a personal problem with Callum Hudson-Odoi given his game time or lack of. However, yesterday with just under half an hour on the clock, Sarri opted to bring the youngster off the bench for Pedro as he pushed for an equaliser.

To most sides, bringing on an attacking, energetic winger when 1-0 dow is just standard procedure, however, at Stamford Bridge, seeing Callum Hudson-Odoi feature for a lengthy period of time from the bench is unheard of. The 18-year-old has shown this season what he’s all about and when he gets going he can be a real handful to stop, so his lack of minutes has proved incredibly annoying.
As the Blues have become more and more used to seeing both Pedro and Willian flop on the wings, the fact that they have a ready-made star who could step in and shine alongside Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain gets more and more infuriating. After yesterday, though, the fans will hope they’ve turned a corner with the young winger’s game time and will be keen to get to a stage where he can be a regular feature under Sarri.

The Blues have complete faith in Hudson-Odoi to become a top, top player and are desperate to see Sarri rely on him more regularly as he did yesterday.
