Chelsea: Fans slam Frank Lampard for his lack of game-management and substitution choices

A number of Chelsea fans on Twitter have decided to tear into Frank Lampard for his decision making when making substitutions, as well as his apparent lack of game-management.

The Blues only just managed to see off Watford with a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening despite having controlled the majority of the game.

Tammy Abraham put the SW6 outfit in a commanding position from the get-go, whilst Christian Pulisic appeared to put the game beyond doubt shortly after the restart in the second half.

However, a controversial penalty allowed Watford to get back into the game, whilst Ben Foster was denied superbly by Kepa Arrizabalaga to ensure the visitors took all three points in the final moment of the game.

Although the vast majority of fans would have been happy with a win, there appeared to be some that continued to point out the negatives in Lampard’s management, with some of them taking to Twitter to vent their concerns and frustrations.

Some of them stated that his substitution choices were generally poor (Callum Hudson-Odoi’s introduction appeared to make a few fans annoyed), whilst some called for the legend to learn game-management before it ended up costing Chelsea in the future.

Here are some of their reactions…
