Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news that Mason Mount has been nominated as one of the players in the top 20 for the 2019 Golden Boy award.

The club posted a Twitter image on their account congratulating the England international for his recognition, which led to fans waxing lyrical about his talents.
Indeed, Mount has had a whirlwind of a rise in English football over the last year or so under the guidance of Frank Lampard.
During his time at Derby County, the midfielder managed to bag himself 11 goals and provide his team-mates with six assists in the 44 appearances he made (TransferMarkt) and appears to have taken to life in the first-team at Stamford Bridge in exceptional form as well.
Having managed to get four goals and one assist in his first 11 games for the club, the 20-year-old currently achieves an average of 2.5 shots, 2.1 key passes and 1.5 completed dribbles per game with a pass percentage of 80.5% in the eight Premier League matches he has featured in (WhoScored).
