Chelsea finally receive some good news after disappointing season opener

It’s been a very tough few weeks for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern…

Not only have the Blues struggled for success in the transfer market, but a disappointing defeat against Burnley on the opening day of the season has left the fans in the pub fearing the worst.

Indeed, some Chelsea fans are seriously concerned that the Blues’ season may already be over, but at last, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

As confirmed by the Daily Mail, Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has returned to full training – with the Belgian stepping up his recovery from an injury that has seen him miss pre-season and the start of the 2017/18 domestic campaign.

Featuring as part of the wider group for the first time in several months, Hazard’s return is a welcomed boost to not only the fans, but the Chelsea players themselves, who have struggled for something to smile about lately.

His return is still some way off, but the prospect of him returning is already one that the fans in the pub cannot wait for.

Landlord’s Verdict

Eden Hazard is undoubtedly Chelsea’s most important player, and he was a big miss at the weekend.

The sooner that Antonio Conte can get him back the better, and he could be just the player they need to turn the season around.

Chelsea must not rush him back to fitness, though, as they cannot afford to have him suffer another injury.
