Chelsea forward set to leave at the end of the season (not Costa)

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been seriously concerned about his future for months…

Amidst all the furor surrounding Diego Costa at present, the Tavern has been filled with Chelsea fans over the last few days discussing how bad his proposed departure could be for the club.

Undoubtedly one of Europe’s finest forwards, Costa’s departure could be a disaster for Chelsea – but that is not the only problem that Antonio Conte reportedly has with his strikeforce.

According to the Telegraph, young forward Dominic Solanke could be set for a summer departure from Chelsea – with the 19-year-old forward reportedly rejecting an offer from the Blues to extend his deal.

Talks have reportedly been ongoing for a while, but Chelsea’s hesitancy to agree a significant wage and offer him first team assurances have led to the deal hitting a stumbling block.

This will come as a huge blow to the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, given that Solanke is one of the most highly-rated players in the Chelsea developmental system. Alongside Tammy Abraham, Solanke has been absolutely prolific at youth level – and he looks destined to hit it big in the Premier League.

Given reports suggesting that Diego Costa, Michy Batshuayi and now Dom Solanke could all leave the club in some form – Antonio Conte may be forced into a complete striking rebuild at Stamford Bridge in the coming months.
