The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to their side’s upcoming game with Stoke City. The Blues are on a decent run of form at present, and though they remain some way off top-spot, they are continuing to rival Man Utd in second-place.
A win against the Potters, then, will put them in an even better position, and ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has delivered some great news for the Blues. According to Conte, via Ben Dinnery on Twitter, Andreas Christensen has trained ahead of the game, suggesting that he is ready to be involved once again.
No fresh injury concerns for Chelsea.
David Luiz [knee] and Charly Musonda [groin] are targeting a return in the FA Cup.

Christensen, of course, missed Chelsea’s last game through illness, and they certainly missed him. The trio of Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Antonio Rudiger were able to keep Brighton out, but the lack of a proper ball-playing sweeper really showed. Indeed, Gary Cahill – who played in Christensen’s role – simply doesn’t have the quality on the ball that the Dane possesses.
His return, then, is very timely, especially considering the fact that David Luiz remains out through injury. Christensen has done every bit as well as Luiz has since his return to the club, and so the Dane deserves a lot of credit.
Stoke City are a decent attacking side, and so Christensen’s return has come at a good time.
He’s impressed this season, and he’ll need to keep that up if he is to keep David Luiz out of the team going forward.
