Chelsea handed huge January transfer window blow

FalcaoChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are making their frustrations clear after hearing that a key piece of business in January has hit the rocks, leaving the Blues with a big problem on their hands.

The Daily Mail states that Monaco are reluctant to take Premier League flop Radamel Falcao back in January, shattering Chelsea’s plans of cutting short his season long deal.

Falcao has been in woeful form for the Blues this season, just like he was at Manchester United last year, and Chelsea want to offload the Colombian in January to make room for new arrivals.

However, Monaco aren’t seen on bringing the South American back to France and it could mean Chelsea are forced to honour the original agreement, keeping Falcao until the summer.

Chelsea are now relying on interest from other clubs as they attempt to offload the striker but there’s a distinct lack of interest in the 29-year-old, who has endured a difficult last three years.

Blues fans at the bar just want him gone, as they’re concerned keeping him until the summer will effect their January business and could derail their aims of clinching a top-four finish.

Chelsea fans, how important is it that you get rid of Falcao in January? Let us know in the comments below!
